The sole third-party resource it deigns to touch are the album cover images, and these are requested in anonymous CORS mode (crossorigin="anonymous") — a browser mechanism under which cookies are neither conveyed with the request nor accepted from the response, whereby the image CDN is deprived of any means of depositing or perusing a cookie within your browser.

Separately, whenever the widget presents an album cover, your browser procures that image directly from Spotify's image CDN (i.scdn.co) — an act which, by sheer technical necessity, discloses your IP address to said CDN, as is the case with any resource a browser retrieves. No cookies partake in this request, and no referrer information is imparted (referrerpolicy="no-referrer"); beyond the bare connection itself, therefore, not a shred of browsing context changes hands. The lawful basis for this processing is my legitimate interest in the faithful rendition of the page's content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
